Megan Armstrong

Megan began attending dog shows as a child. Her mother showed Alaskan Malamutes, which proved to be a bit too much dog for a young child to handle. In search of the perfect dog for a junior handler, she fell in love with Springers. The rest is history! Megan has been showing English Springer Spaniels in conformation and obedience since 2000. Her involvement in purebred dogs has expanded over the last two decades to include other performance events such as agility, rally, barn hunt, and other fun events. She is deeply passionate about preserving the qualities of her beloved breed. As such she served on the breed's health advocacy organization, the English Springer Spaniel Foundation, board for a number of years.  She is a member of the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association (ESSFTA, the breed's parent club) as well as her local breed club the Santa Clara Valley English Springer Spaniel Association (SCVESSA). Megan holds the distinct privilege of being the youngest (intern) member of ESSFTA's judges education committee and has supported the efforts on developing an updated illustrated breed standard. Her passion for breed education led her to develop a global "study group" titled "Students of the English Springer Spaniel".

She currently resides in Fremont, California. In her day to day life, she works in healthcare as a board certified Physician Assistant. Any free time is spent taking the dogs outside to explore a local hike or to the beach, a mutual favorite.
